"Ranking Eminem’s ‘The Death of Slim Shady’ Album from Worst to Best"

"He’s back. Eminem returned on Friday, July 12, with his highly-anticipated album, 'The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce).' This marks Em’s first release since 2020’s 'Music to Be Murdered By' as he aims for his 10th consecutive chart-topper on the Billboard 200.

Prior to its release, Eminem clarified that 'TDOSS' is a conceptual album meant to be listened to in sequence for full coherence: “Public service announcement: the ‘death of slim shady’ is a conceptual album, therefore, if you listen to songs out of order they might not make sense. Enjoy.”

The album’s rollout began with the track “Houdini,” which became Eminem’s highest charting entry of the decade, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. He followed this with “Tobey,” featuring Big Sean and BabyTron, which debuted at No. 95 on the same chart earlier in July.

'The Death of Slim Shady' features collaborations with Jelly Roll, J.I.D, Skylar Grey, Bizarre, Ez Mil, and more, spanning 19 tracks minus skits.

Despite being 51 years old, Eminem maintains his status as a commercial powerhouse and a leading voice in hip-hop, boasting a Hall of Fame career that rivals any of his contemporaries.
